Music for Kids
Ages 7–9

Fun, structured music classes for children aged 7 to 9 in Almere and Hilversum. Kids build real skills — rhythm, melody, reading music, and the confidence that comes from performing — all in an encouraging group setting.

Real Skills, Real Fun

By the ages of 7 to 9, children are ready to turn musical play into genuine skill. Our Music for Kids programme keeps the joy front and centre while introducing structure: reading music, keeping time, playing simple melodies, and singing together. It is the stage where a child stops just enjoying music and starts truly making it.

Classes blend singing, keyboard and guitar basics, and group percussion, so children experience music from several angles and discover what they love most. Along the way they build confidence, teamwork, and the focus that performing in front of others develops so well.

Music for Kids — Your Questions

Does my child need any prior musical experience?+
No experience is needed. The programme welcomes complete beginners as well as children who have done our Early Music classes, with activities pitched to bring everyone along together.
Will my child learn a specific instrument?+
Children get hands-on with keyboard and guitar basics plus group percussion and singing. This variety helps them discover which instrument they connect with before committing to focused lessons.
Are classes in a group or one-to-one?+
Music for Kids is built around encouraging group sessions, which children love and which build teamwork and confidence. As skills grow, focused individual lessons in a chosen instrument are also available.
Can my child work towards a certificate later?+
Yes. As children move into focused instrument lessons, they can follow the Trinity College London graded pathway, earning internationally recognised certificates as they progress.
